Clinging Violet

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 20 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several knobbly, straight stems covered in delicate, knobbly, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches are short and thick with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of large, needle-like, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid bronze with violet edges, frail and crispy.

It produces handfuls of large, cyan flowers with wide petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cherry. In late spring it forms tinycream seed pods.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
All parts of the moss are edible.
