Blood Thorn Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 45 feet (13.7 meters) tall. The thick stem is yellow-green, and is covered in many rigid blood red spines. The jagged-edged, finger-like leaves are black and slate. Small amounts of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are frail, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid subtle blue petals decorated with brown dots and a caramel central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like wet dog.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the caramel flesh is slimy, and the azure sap is thin.
