Aquamarine

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The narrow stem is silver, and is covered in hundreds of flexible light grey spines. The toothed-edged, long, tapering leaves are aquamarine at the bottom and gold with pale green dots at the top. Large amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are rigid, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are gold on the edges and cyan at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 50 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a faint scent that smells like mango.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the orange flesh is soft, and the bronze sap is thin.

A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
