Crimson Needle Tree

This average-sized tree grows up to 60 meters (196.9 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, curved trunk covered in thin, cracked, dark brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is gray.

The tangled mess of branches are very short and slender, with hundreds of twigs covered with copious amounts of miniature, red needles. The needles themselves are tough.

In late summer it produces large, yellow seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
