Emerald Clump Moss

This white moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In damp forests, In rainy mountain ranges, and In heathlands.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly rigid; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores.
