Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 3 very thin stems. Each stem is brown, and is dotted with small black spines. The cuboid body is hazel or brown, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 23 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid peach petals decorated with yellow dots and a bronze central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. It has an intense scent that smells like rotten eggs.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the indigo flesh is soft, and the indigo sap is thin.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
