Aurora

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 47 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has many slender, wonky stems covered in thin, rough, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches trail down towards the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, long, tapering, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally red, frail and fuzzy.

It produces a thick sheet of medium-sized, aquamarine flowers with 3 kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like pine needles. In early winter it forms giantpastel purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).


It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
