Emerald

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very rigid; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
