Bronzeberry

This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 36 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, crooked trunk covered in thin, silky, brown bark, and inside, the light wood is pale brown-grey.

The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with thick bunches of large, kidney-shaped leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either bronze or cream, with aquamarine dots.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, lilac blossoms with oblong shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

In mid-summer it produces , fan-like fruit. The crispy dark orange skin is thin and sweet and salty, and the soft violet flesh is sweet and juicy. The red seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
