This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters)0.

It takes 15 months for the light purple stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The wispy, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are solid yellow or light grey, with sky blue lines, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of average olive flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of small berries.
