Magenta

This short bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 77 feet (23.5 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 5 months for the olive and yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and gnarled.

The thin, clammy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are solid magenta with grey dots, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many small lilac flowers.
