Bronze

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 48 feet (14.6 meters) tall. The tapering stem is yellow-green, and is covered in brittle bronze spines. The stumpy, orange trunk can grow to as much as 48 feet (14.6 meters) in diameter. Its yellow or magenta branches trail down across the ground.

The wavy-edged, circular leaves are either washed-out blue, or white with violet lines. They are frail, and easily come away when pulled.

It is slow growing, taking 12 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of magenta grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like misty mornings.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the blue flesh is smooth, and the red sap is thin.
