Crimson Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This giant leaf succulent grows up to 111 feet (33.8 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is emerald, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible crimson spines. The knobbly leaves are hazel with amber tips. Thick bunches of them grow on wide, brown branches that are very long and slender. The leaves are rigid, and take little effort to detach.
It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are generally bronze; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like candle wax.
The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the washed-out purple flesh is soft, and the green sap is thin.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
