Bronze

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This large shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for around 31 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous wide, straight stems covered in cracked, brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are short stubs with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, sickle shaped, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are found in brown, caramel and bronze varieties, hardy and clammy.

In late spring it produces handfuls of medium-sized, light grey flowers with slender, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like fresh linen.
