Crimson vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters) and growing as high as 437 feet (133.2 meters).

It takes 19 months for the emerald stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are soft and flexible.

The thin, clammy leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are solid azure or vivid red, with crimson zig-zags, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces clusters of tiny silver flowers.
