Copperberry

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 49 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, slanted trunk covered in fine, waxy, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is white.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, very narrow and elongated leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are amber and green.

In early spring, it produces a handful of giant, silver blossoms with pleated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like apple.

In early autumn it produces , circular fruit. The fuzzy beige skin is delicate and sweet, and the slightly crunchy copper flesh is sweet and sticky. The grey seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
