Copperleaf

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is wispy, and the huge, copper leaves are fan-like with irregular edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Lots of small flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are silver at the sides and lime at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 18 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has the faintest scent that smells like skunk spray, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
