Bronze
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. It splits near the top to form 5 very thick stems. Each stem is yellow-green, and is dotted with small bronze spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 7 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with hazel petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of 11 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like garlic.
The cactus's skin is thin, the hazel flesh is rubbery, and the yellow sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
