Brown Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In marshes, In rainy mountain ranges, and In moorlands.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
