Black Moss

This black moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In marshes, and On trees.
It is big, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
