Bluebell

This massive shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for around 17 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several knobbly, straight stems covered in delicate, knobbly, dark green bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are very long and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of small, very thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally grey, delicate and waxy.

In early summer it produces dozens of small, sky blue flowers with long, tapering petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like cigarette smoke.
