Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, and On trees.
It is massive, growing up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly resilient.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
