Turquoise

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 29 feet (8.8 meters)0. It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 8 months for the dark grey or black stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The stiff, pointed, leathery leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are yellow-green with turquoise tips, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of small light grey flowers.
