Moss type: Moss

This green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is extremely flimsy; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores.

It can survive a very long time without water.
It is suitable for making paper
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
