Copperleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The pleated stem is emerald, and is covered in thousands of rigid red spines. The bubbly leaves are found in vivid blue, azure and copper varieties. Thick bunches of them grow on round, orange-yellow branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are frail, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 27 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid black petals decorated with purple dots and a sky blue central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like coffee.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the peach flesh is smooth, and the white sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.

The entire flower is edible and overwhelmingly sweet.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
