Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This big leaf succulent grows up to 106 feet (32.3 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is cream, and is covered in brittle brown spines. The pointed leaves are crimson and copper. Copious amounts of them grow on wide, orange-yellow branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are resilient, and detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are hazel on the edges and indigo at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is largely flat with 50 raised narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the brown flesh is rough, and the pink sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
