Copperbell

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 110 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many wide, straight stems covered in thin, cracked, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with large amounts of small, pleated, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of copper that gradient shifts to hazel at the top, resistant and clammy.

It produces copious amounts of large, blood red flowers with wide petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten meat. In late autumn it forms smallbrown seed pods.
