Yellowpine

This modest-sized tree grows up to 27 meters (88.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 278 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a flexible, curved trunk covered in rough, yellow bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pine-coloured.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, huge, slender, pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are azure and beige.

In late summer it forms small, red, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
