Caramel Moss

This caramel moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In rainy mountain ranges, and On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
