Slate
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized cactus grows up to 56 feet (17.1 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 6 pleated stems. Each stem is slate and green, and is covered in sharp spines. The cuboid body is emerald, and is covered in brittle florescent red spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are azure at the sides and orange at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a star with 19 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cheese.
The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the lime flesh is rough, and the magenta sap is thin.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
