Ambervine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 692 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, angular trunk covered in very thick, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is white with black speckles.
The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with thick bunches of smooth, small, 6 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber, bold purple and beige varieties.
In early spring, it produces many bunches of medium-sized, amber blossoms with pleated petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like vanilla.
In late summer it forms tiny, faded red aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
