Burgundy Succulent
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This colossal cactus grows up to 112 feet (34.1 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 2 very narrow, elongated stems. Each stem is burgundy, and is covered in lots of rigid blood red spines.
It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with light grey petals that gradient shift to white on the outer edge. The central disk is hazel, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cigarette smoke.
The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the crimson flesh is rubbery, and the copper sap is thin.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
