This lime green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes, and On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very delicate.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
