Crimson Shrubs

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for around 41 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous branched, straight stems covered in knobbly, brown bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are very long and thin that and are covered with handfuls of tiny, kidney-shaped, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid red with lime patches, rigid and waxy.

In late summer it produces lots of small, dull red flowers with V-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like a man.

The bark is frequently covered in moss.
It is excellent at collecting and storing carbon dioxide
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
