Crimson Moss

This red and cream moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.

It can survive a very long time without water.
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly sour.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
