Caramel Fernbush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 38 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, angular stems covered in cracked, black bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches are long and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of large, long, tapering, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in olive, cyan and caramel varieties, robust and clammy.

In late spring it produces bunches of giant, amber flowers with sickle shaped petals. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a woman.
