Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly strong.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
