Amberberry
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 31 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in very thick, ridged, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very hard wood is brown.
The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, thin leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are deep green and gold.
In early spring, it produces several small, peach blossoms with spear shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like wet dog.
In mid-summer it produces , cuboid fruit. The smooth amber skin is stretchy and bitter, and the very soft crimson flesh is spicy and syrupy. The cream seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
