Copper Shield Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In moorlands, and On trees.
It is giant, growing up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
