Copper

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 31 feet (9.4 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is red, and is covered in brittle olive spines. It has a wonky, very thick, grey trunk atop a round ball of silky, exposed roots. The branches are thick and moss green and trail down across the ground.

The jagged-edged, very thick leaves are found in turquoise and copper varieties. They are hardy, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are bright red on the underside and ashy yellow on the top grow at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 59 curved petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like skunk spray.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the purple flesh is smooth, and the light grey sap is thin.
