Lilac Grass

This large, lilac grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The 4 pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are light and frail and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, grey puff.

During the late summer, it produces a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
