Creamy Brown Petal

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its grey stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 4 and are very thick and straight, and split into several branching stems at the top, and the giant, green leaves are slender, pointed with rounded edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, with petals that are cream at the sides and brown at the center. The flower head is largely flat with 33 raised narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like coconut, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
