Copper-coloured

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 171 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has numerous very thick, twisting stems covered in thick, ridged, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, fan-like, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are magenta on the edges and lime at the center, flexible and waxy.

It produces many tiny, bold yellow flowers with umbrella-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like mint. In late autumn it forms smallgold, tough-shelled seeds.
