Bluebell

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 26 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, straight stems covered in smooth, black bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with thousands of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, stiff, pointed, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are blue and bright yellow, hardy and rough.

In mid-summer it produces a thick sheet of small, hazel flowers with 5 pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cigarette smoke.
