Silvervine

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 20 feet (6.1 meters) and growing as high as 85 feet (25.9 meters).

It takes 10 months for the silver stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and prickly.

The needle-like, fuzzy leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are either lilac, or cyan with green lines, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the bine produces handfuls of giant dark brown flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of small fruits.
