Cyan Spine Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 47 feet (14.3 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 5 spear shaped stems. Each stem is red, and is covered in handfuls of fine, lime, hair-like spines. The wedge-shaped body is moss green, and is covered in thousands of rigid drab yellow spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 47 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid cyan petals and a green central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is largely flat with 26 raised narrow petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like cherry.
The cactus's skin is thin, the olive flesh is slimy, and the drab yellow sap is thin.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
