Copper-colored

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 104 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of narrow, twisting stems covered in wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are very short and thin that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, circular, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light grey at the bottom and indigo with brown dots at the top, strong and covered in fine hairs.

It produces bunches of medium-sized, aquamarine flowers with circular petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have no scent. In late spring it forms largeblood red, tough-shelled seeds.
