Bloodvine

This big caudiciform grows up to 101 feet (30.8 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines. It has a crooked, slender, blood red trunk atop a slender web of silky, exposed roots. The branches are thick and emerald or hazel and trail down across the ground.

The serrated-edged, sickle shaped leaves are either lime or slate, with lilac patches. They are durable, but easily come away when pulled.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are dark brown in the center, cyan in the middle and yellow at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 12 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like coconut.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the turquoise flesh is rubbery, and the purple sap is thin.
