Copper

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 85 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, crooked trunk covered in delicate, cracked, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white with black speckles.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of large, wispy leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are orange and peach.

In early spring, it produces many tiny, copper blossoms with 6 pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like new carpet.

In mid-summer it produces , perforated fruit. The leathery azure skin is thin and bitter, and the soft dark grey flesh is bitter and powdery. The hazel seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
every part of the moss is extremely toxic.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
