Copperberry

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 62 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has dozens of thick, curved stems covered in rough, black bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, stiff, pointed, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are generally copper, flimsy and smooth.

It produces thick bunches of tiny, peach flowers with 4 triangular shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like mint. In mid-summer it forms tinyhazel seed pods.
